Will the insanity ever end?
By now we have all heard about the demonic actions of Jared Lee Loughner in Tuscon Arizona. When the dust settled the left jumped at the chance to blame the right wing rhetoric for the shooting.
I don’t know what Loughner’s reasons were for the shooting. The fruit basket isn’t talking so it may be a while before we know for certain. My gripe is the right wing “acting” shocked that some of the blame is pointing to them. If the roles were switched they would be doing the finger pointing. Hell, the Tea Party Nation founder, Judson Phillips has already blamed leftish for the shooting so I know more conservative nuts would be pointing blame at Democrats if a Republican was shot. I guess if you can’t defend yourself, it’s better to blame someone else.
I like to think I have a good head on my shoulders. I believe that blaming people for a disgusting act before all the facts come out is wrong, but I understand why the left was in an uproar.
— July 2008: A gunman named Jim David Adkisson, agitated at how “liberals” are “destroying America,” walks into a Unitarian Church and opens fire, killing two churchgoers and wounding four others. Adkisson, a former private in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977, says that he was motivated by hatred of Democrats, liberals, African Americans and homosexuals. According to a sworn affidavit by one of the officers who interviewed Adkisson on July 27, 2008, in his manifesto Adkisson also included the Democratic members of the House and Senate, and the 100 people who are screwing up America in his list of targets.
— October 2008: Two neo-Nazis (Daniael Cowart and Paul Schlesselman) are arrested in Tennessee in a plot to murder dozens of African-Americans, culminating in the assassination of President Obama.
— December 2008: A pair of “Patriot” movement radicals — the father-son team of Bruce and Joshua Turnidge, who wanted “to attack the political infrastructure” — threatened a bank in Woodburn, Oregon, with a bomb in the hopes of extorting money that would end their financial difficulties, for which they blamed the government. Instead, the bomb goes off and kills two police officers. The men eventually are convicted and sentenced to death for the crime.
— December 2008: In Belfast, Maine, police discover the makings of a nuclear “dirty bomb” in the basement of a white supremacist (James G. Cummings) shot dead by his wife. The man, who was independently wealthy, reportedly was agitated about the election of President Obama and was crafting a plan to set off the bomb. Cummings was “very upset” when Barack Obama was elected president.
— January 2009: A white supremacist named Keith Luke embarks on a killing rampage in Brockton, Mass., raping and wounding a black woman and killing her sister, then killing a homeless man before being captured by police as he is en route to a Jewish community center. Luke wanted to “kill as many Jews, blacks, and Hispanics as humanly possible…before killing himself”.
— February 2009: A Marine named Kody Brittingham is arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate President Obama. Brittingham also collected white-supremacist material.
— April 2009: A white supremacist named Richard Poplawski opens fire on three Pittsburgh police officers who come to his house on a domestic-violence call and kills all three, because he believed President Obama intended to take away the guns of white citizens like him. Poplawski is currently awaiting trial.
— April 2009: Joshua Cartwright, a Florida National Guardsman, similarly fearful of Obama’s purported gun-grabbing plans, kills two deputies when they come to arrest him in a domestic-violence matter, then is killed himself in a shootout with police.
— May 2009: A “sovereign citizen” named Scott Roeder walks into a church in Wichita, Kansas, and assassinates abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.
— June 2009: A Holocaust denier and right-wing tax protester named James Von Brunn opens fire at the Holocaust Museum, killing a security guard.
— February 2010: An angry tax protester named Joseph Ray Stack flies an airplane into the building housing IRS offices in Austin, Texas. (Media are reluctant to label this one “domestic terrorism” too.)
— March 2010: Seven militiamen from the Hutaree Militia in Michigan and Ohio are arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate local police officers with the intent of sparking a new civil war.
— March, 2010: a propane line was cut at the home of the brother of Rep. Tom Perriello in an apparent attempt to cause a fire or explosion. The address of Perriello’s brother had mistakenly been identified as the address of Congressman Perriello by Tea Party activists who wished to inspire protests at the Representative’s home. “Oh well, collateral damage..”
— March 2010: An anti-government extremist named John Patrick Bedell walks into the Pentagon and opens fire, wounding two officers before he is himself shot dead.
— May 2010: A “sovereign citizen” from Georgia is arrested in Tennessee and charged with plotting the violent takeover of a local county courthouse.
— May 2010: A still-unidentified white man walks into a Jacksonville, Fla., mosque and sets it afire, simultaneously setting off a pipe bomb.
— May 2010: Two “sovereign citizens” named Jerry and Joe Kane gun down two police officers who pull them over for a traffic violation, and then wound two more officers in a shootout in which both of them are eventually killed.
— July 2010: An agitated right-winger and convict named Byron Williams loads up on weapons and drives to the Bay Area intent on attacking the offices of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU, but is intercepted by state patrolmen and engages them in a shootout and armed standoff in which two officers and Williams are wounded.
–July 2010: Kenneth B. Kimbley Jr., 58, discussed bombing local bridges with an undercover federal agent and made threatening statements toward President Barack Obama, leading investigators last July to seize 20,000 ammunition rounds and several firearms from Kimbley’s property, where he and other suspected militia members gathered to construct grenades.
— September 2010: A Concord, N.C., man is arrested and charged with plotting to blow up a North Carolina abortion clinic. The man, 26-year–old Justin Carl Moose, referred to himself as the “Christian counterpart to (Osama) bin Laden” in a taped undercover meeting with a federal informant.
— January 8, 2011: Jared Lee Loughner attempts to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords at a Safeway store in Arizona. He then turns his gun on anyone in the immediate area. Six are killed, ranging in age from 9 to 79, 14 others injured. Loughner believes among other things that the present government is a threat to his Liberty and that there is an impending monetary collapse.
Even though I have a pretty good idea where Jared Lee Loughner received his “information” about this country, I will wait and see what he has to say.
[Terror in Arizona: Just another ‘isolated incident’? Funny how that list keeps mounting]

Stay classy Fox News
You would think on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Fox News would at least try to be respectful. After reading the Ronald Reagan – More of a Friend to Blacks Than Obama? article (written by Michael Reagan), I have been proven wrong again. I guess waiting at least one day to post this garbage was too much to ask for.
Oh and BTW, President Ronald Reagan was first opposed to the MLK holiday, citing cost concerns. He finally signed the measure after Congress passed it with a veto-proof majority (338 to 90 in the House of Representatives and 78 to 22 in the Senate). Yeah Fox News (and Michael Reagan), Ronald Reagan sounds real friendly to Blacks.

Bart Scott is HOOD
The Jets upsetting the Patriots last night was epic. New York talked a lot of smack but backed it up. The Jets were labeled as the bad guys even though New England did there fair share of trash talking. I find it pathetic that several media outlets act like the Patriots walk on water.
When Antonio Cromartie called Tom Brady an asshole, the media couldn’t wait to bash the guy. And rightfully so. What he said was not only stupid, but it wasn’t even funny. But let’s call a spade a spade here. Nobody bashed Wes Welker when he made fun of Rex Ryan’s foot fetish. Everyone thought it was so cute and funny. What Welker did was worse because he not only bashed Rex Ryan, he also brought Rex’s wife into the mix.
The hypocrisy disgusts me. You didn’t hear anyone from the Jets talking about Tom Brady leaving his pregnant girlfriend for a super model, or Bill Belichick “allegedly” cheating on his wife.
But I digress…
I’m eating up the fact that in his last 3 playoff games, Tom Brady is 0-3. The bigger issue here is he hasn’t done JACK since Spygate. Interesting how nobody is talking about that. Can people please stop the fellation of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick now? Belichick has already been exposed as a cheater. And last night Tom Brady got exposed as well. You notice what happens to him he gets hit a few times, or has to scramble? He folds like a house of cards (Think Drew Blesode). Quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger handle the pass rush in a way that makes John Elway proud. Tom Brady will never be that type of player. Maybe “Bilicheat” can find another way to steal signs to help Brady out next year.
