Stay Classy Republicans…Stay Classy
House Speaker John Boehner held a news conference on Wednesday (12/21/2011) demanding Democrats to return from vacation so the payroll tax cut could be extended. I guess he didn’t think House Democrats would call his grandstanding bluff.
When the House of Representatives were gaveled into session, Steny Hoyer (Democratic Minority Whip) attepted to bring the Senate payroll tax cut extension up for a vote. His effort unfortunately was in vain. The Republican presiding officer (Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick) refused by walking off the House floor and out of the room without even acknowledging Hoyer’s motion.
“You are walking away just as so many Republicans have walked away from middle-class Americans,” Hoyer shouted.
It’s bad enough House Republicans want to stick it to the middle class by not extending the payroll tax cut, but to not even let Democrats talk about it is asinine to say the least.
This is more proof the GOP are hell-bent on fighting the Democrats on anything and everything, while acting like a spoiled child. Even if it means hurting this country.
So when you look at your paycheck and realize your tax cut isn’t there, go find the nearest Teabagger and shove a spiked baseball bat up their colon. The GOP has no intention of participating in a properly functioning government and the Tea Party is too stupid to realize it.
Just think about this for a little while. The Republican party, the people the Tea Party supported (because they can’t stand seeing a Black man as President) with a passion are trying to raise their taxes. Oh the irony. Oh the stupidity.
If they payroll tax cut is not extended by the end of this month, close to 160 million people would see their payroll tax for Social Security change from to 4.2 percent from the 6.2 percent. It will also cause a cut in fees paid to doctors who accept Medicare and a lapse in jobless benefits.
Stay classy Republicans…stay classy.
I never understood interventions. What’s the point of being told you drink too much from a room full of reasons why you drink in the first place?
