Michele Bachmann is batshit crazy
Tea party hero nutjob, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Just when you think she can’t dig herself a deeper hole, she pulls out a bigger shovel.
Bachmann fully supports the United States’ wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but wants to cut health benefits for war veterans. Huh?!
God forbid we actually take some responsibility for the troops we keep sending out.
On her official website Bachmann says that the cuts are necessary to avoid increasing this nation’s debt. Her machination (my new word for today) would freeze health care funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs, and cut $4.5 billion in disability benefits to military veterans. In other words, the people who fought in the wars she supports. So basically in her mind once you risk your life for this country you might be shit out of luck if you are injured.
Hey Bachmann, if you want to lower the nation’s debt how about not pushing tax breaks for the rich? One of the reasons our debt is higher now is because George W. Bush went to war and cut taxes for his rich buddies. But no, in your mind giving tax breaks to the rich makes more sense than helping out the real heroes of this country.
If America is now having issues affording the care required for our soldiers when they return from war, we should probably start to reconsider where and why we’re sending them.
I never understood interventions. What’s the point of being told you drink too much from a room full of reasons why you drink in the first place?
