N.Y. Cop Not Indicted In Chokehold Death
So apparently the police can now choke an unarmed man to death and not get indicted. EVEN WHEN IT’S ON TAPE.
Today a grand jury in New York decided not to indict Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the July 17 chokehold death of Eric Garner.
During the fatal encounter, Garner raised both hands in the air and told the officers not to touch him. A video shows Pantaleo get behind Garner, put him in a chokehold (which is band by the NYPD) and pull him to the ground.
“I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!” Garner pleads to the police.
He was pronounced dead that day. Police had suspected Garner of selling cigarettes illegally. Just let that sink in.
And they wonder why we act crazy.

I never understood interventions. What’s the point of being told you drink too much from a room full of reasons why you drink in the first place?
