Random NBA Thought
In 1996, the NBA had a superb Rookie class. Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, Stephon Marbury, Kobe Bryant, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jermaine O’Neal, Kerry Kittles, Steve Nash, Ben Wallace, Allen Iverson (not in picture) Antoine Walker, and Samaki Walker (why the Hell is he in this picture?).
I’m not trying to offend anyone but let’s be real. Out of all the names I mentioned, I guarantee nobody in 1996 predicted the player to win the most MVPs would be the White guy from Canada. Thinking about still makes me laugh. Not as much as Brent Barry winning the 1996 Slam Dunk Contest, but close.
I never understood interventions. What’s the point of being told you drink too much from a room full of reasons why you drink in the first place?
