So this is the Super Bowl

November 4th will be interesting.

The Super Bowl is just around the corner, in November. The Indianapolis Colts against the New England Patriots. This is probably one of the biggest games in the last 15 years for the NFL. I’m not even a fan of either team and I’m looking forward to this game on Sunday. You have two of the best Coaches in Tony Dungy and Bill Belichick. Arguably we will be watching two of the greatest Quarterbacks of all time going at it. And two offenses that only dreams are made of.

These are all great reasons to watch this game. But this isn’t the main reason why I will be viewing. It pains me to write this, but I believe New England will be going home with the victory. So I’m interested if Belichick will once again show a lack of class by trying to run up the score. I’m wondering if someone like Dwight Freeney will take out Tom Brady if he has the opportunity. Brady is a marked man. Everyone in the know understands this. With “Spy Gate” and the rumors of the Patriots turning off the opposing teams head sets, its not wise to embarrass teams when there is no reason to. What Bill Belichick did to Joe Gibbs and the Red Skins was absolutly uncalled for. If the Karma train comes, Brady’s blood is going to be on Belichicks hands…so to speak.

I’m almost positive that a great deal of NFL teams are talking in the locker room about how they can take Tom Brady out for good. Belichick and Brady both know this. It only takes one jail break for Brady boy to go bye bye. It probably won’t happen this Sunday. Tony Dungy is too much of a good guy for that to occur. But I’m sure its crossed his mind. When you’re up 38-0 you really shouldn’t be going for the other teams throat when its 4th and 2. You kick a field goal. That’s the right thing to do. The NFL doesn’t want scores being run up. They have told teams this. And Bill Belichick is pulling his pants down and telling the league to kiss his ass.

Some people (Patriot fans) will go old school with their “logic” and say there is no such thing as running up the score and its the other teams job to stop the offense. Yes that is old school. Its also old school to send a message and have the Quarterback’s leg broken.
