The First X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer
The first official trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse has finally been released.
After watching, I’m starting to get the feeling Jennifer Lawrence (Raven) is getting screen time for the sole purpose of who she is. It’s not her fault though; that’s on 20th Century Fox, who are trying to milk her name. I sensed a rather strong Hunger Games vibe. This is the reason why I’m sick of Wolverine. Every X-Men movie up to this point should have been titled, “Wolverine And Friends”. It’s never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. Eventually the audience gets burned out.
I’m not too crazy about Apocalypse’s appearance or his voice but that’s just the comic book nerd in me. Hopefully the film will do a good job establishing the new characters. These X-Men movies can’t live off of Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence forever.
On a side note, I had a good laugh at the “big reveal” moment for the trailer. Charles Xavier being bald? Really?
X-Men: Apocalypse drops May 27, 2016.
I never understood interventions. What’s the point of being told you drink too much from a room full of reasons why you drink in the first place?
