i saw it reflected once in your tired eyes

but like a sweet sunset find,
what was once lost behind those emerald eyes

lonely desert sky~

taxis and drunks clear crooked paths
back into a midnight mist
back into the myriad of a tortured past
still cold amongst the warmest friends
and blanketed by eyes stuck on the outside looking in
