In a story posted earlier today, we commented on there being no word on if Resistance: Fall of Man would be patched for Trophies when the Resistance Dual Pack comes out this summer. Unfortunately, we now know that Fall of Man won't be getting a Trophy patch.
Insomniac's James Stevenson posted in response to several inquiries on the PlayStation Blog concerning if and when Fall of Man would get Trophies. He noted that adding Trophies to the game is "not nearly as easy as you think," and that "re-opening [the Fall of Man project] and trying to update it would be prohibitive in cost and time and would come at the expense of Resistance 3."
He summed it up succinctly enough a little later on: "If [adding Trophies] was at all feasible, we would do it. It would significantly take from Resistance 3, therefore we will not do it."
Trophy Hunters of the world, take a moment of silence.
