At GDC, as in, right now, March 9th, Microsoft has revealed some new features for the next generation Xbox, specifically additions to the online service, Live.
One features is Gamer Cards. These cards will be sort of, a gaming biography, which will allow players to connect to others who share the same interest and skill level in games.
Another awesome feature is Marketplace. This will allow you to surf the Live community in search of community-created content, which you can purchase, including levels, weapons, vehicles, and skins.
And finally, the custom playlist feature that Xbox had gets recognition. While playing any Xbox2/Nextbox/Xenon/Xbox 360 game, you will be able to listen to the custom tracks on your hard drive (if you get the Xbox 2 with a hard drive), eliminating the need for developers to support custom music in their software.
