There are no more rabbit jokes to be made. Though, maybe a joke or two about Phil Harrison's easily misinterpreted comments about the last genlengthy catfight nature of rumble and force feedback are due. Immersion and Sony, who have been embroiled in a over a once-existing lawsuit over Immersion's technology, announced that the two companies would "conclude their patent litigation" and enter a new business partnership to incorporate Immersion tech in PlayStaion products.
Dave Karakker, Sr. Director of Corporate Communications for Sony Computer Entertainment America told 1UP the following regarding the reunification of Sony and Immersion: "We are very pleased to have reached a cooperative agreement with Immersion regarding the use of its advanced vibration technology (haptics technology). We look forward to working closely with them as we explore new and innovative ways to utilize this technology in PlayStation products."
