Fans of Eminem and Royce da 5'9 will rejoice this June, when the pair will drop a brand new untitled, "Bad Meets Evil" collaboration EP on Em's Shady Records imprint.
Bad Meets Evil was a originally a song featuring Royce on Em's hit 1999 album The Slim Shady EP.
Eminem and Royce da 5'9 started working on the collaboration EP after the success of The Slim Shady EP.
The conceptual release starred Royce and "Bad" and Eminem as "Evil."
Unfortunately, the project was never officially released.
Around 2003, a falling out between Eminem, Royce and D12 put the project on hold.
But the 2006 shooting death of D12 member Proof helped the pair mend their strained relationship and settle their old beef in 2008.
"Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio," Eminem told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are."
Royce is now an artist in the group Slaughterhouse, which is also signed to the Shady label.
Almost 10 years after they recorded the project together, the pair have reunited and resurrected the project, which will hit stores on June 14th.
The untitled EP features production D12's Mr. Porter, Mobb Deep's Havoc, Bangladesh, DJ Khalil and others.
"I'm excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now," Royce da 5'9 added. "We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we're working on the 'Monster' that will be the Slaughterhouse album. #TeamShady."
