San Francisco rap veteran Rappin' 4-Tay has announced a return to the rap game, with a new album titled Still Standing, his 11th official studio album.
According to Rappin' 4-Tay, who hit big in 1994 with the singles "Playaz Club" and "I'll Be Around," Still Standing is a testament to his 20 years in the Hip-Hop music business.
The new album will showcase Rappin 4-Tay's evolution since the release of his first album, Rappin' 4-Tay is Back, in 1991.
"I took a minute to stick up tracks and see what's going on from the outside, observing how the music game has changed," Rappin' 4-Tay told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "I wanted to put some music out there for the soul, something for the OG's, but mainly for the West Coast though. Keeping it smooth."
Rappin' 4-Tay has lined up a number of influential artists to appear on Still Standing.
The album features guest appearances from Treach of Naughty by Nature, Mac Mall, Montell Jordan, Skee Lo, San Quinn, Cell Lell, Mistah FAB and others.
"There's no more shoot 'em up bang bang, yellow tapes and chalk lines, but I'm still keeping it gangsta as well," said Rappin' 4-Tay. "I speak about the trials and tribulations that's been put in front of me: life, fatherhood, being in the rap game as well and dealing with those wicked streets out there."
Rappin' 4-Tay is already planning Still Standing Volume 2 which will be released several months after Still Standing lands in stores.
The first single from Still Standing is the single "Put It On Me" featuring Baby Bash, Dru Down and Icon.
