A representative for luxury car maker Audi has responded to a lawsuit filed by Eminem's publishing company, over a commercial that bears a striking resemblance to an ad for Chrysler's new 300 series featuring the rapper.
The lawsuit, which was filed in Hamburg Regional Court in Germany, claims that Audi used an unauthorized version of Eminem's hit song lose yourself in a commercial for the new 2012 Audi A6 Avant.
A representative for Audi responded to the lawsuit, claiming that the clip is not a commercial for the new A6.
"The video referred to is not an advertisement," a representative for Audi said in a statement. "Also, this does not involve Audi of America. The video was not shown here in the U.S."
According to reports Chrysler, could also follow with a lawsuit against Audi over the commercial, amidst claims that the car company also lifted the concept from Chrysler's critically acclaimed ad that was featured in Super Bowl XLV.
