Incarcerated rapper T.I. has revealed that he will drop a new single over the next couple of weeks, just in time for summer
The rapper, who is currently winding down an eight month prison sentence for possession of ecstasy while on probation for gun charges, revealed the news in a post on his website TrapMuzic.com.
"I’ll be releasing a record in the near future (couple of weeks tops) to hold y’all over til I get back in action," T.I. said in his most recent blog post.
In addition to releasing the new single, T.I. revealed that his time behind bars has been well spent.
The Atlanta rapper said he was looking forward to being released, so he could implement new business strategies and techniques he's developed for his career while behind bars.
"During this time of seclusion I have developed a mind full of thoughts, ideas, plans and strategies of change to incorporate into my professional endeavors, as well as my personal lifestyle," T.I. said. "But none of them is as strong as my determination to conquer my own imperfections and my will to WIN NO MATTER WHAT!!!"
T.I. thanked a number of associates for supporting him during his jail stint, including Lil Wayne, Killa Mike, Terrence J. BET's 106 & Park, B.o.B. and formal rival Rick Ross.
According to reports T.I. is due to be released from prison on September 29th.
