Teacher Quits Job After Pressure Over Eminem Video
A seventh grade Westboro, Massachusetts teacher who showed a video of rapper Eminem to students has resigned over her controversial actions.
According to reports, Sarah L. Jordan resigned after she received numerous complaints for showing Eminem's video "Superman" to her seventh grade students.
Jordan was investigated by police after she showed the video to the group of seventh graders at Sarah W. Gibbons middle school.
She was originally suspended for two weeks with pay but the 48 -year-old reading teacher decided to resign, claiming that she "embarrassed" too many people by showing the controversial video.
Police have dropped their investigation after determining that nothing obscene was shown to the students but Ms. Jordan decided to resign anyway, due to the controversy.
