Grammy Award-winning producer 9th Wonder has announced the release date for his upcoming album The Wonder Years, which will be released on his own label It's A Wonderful World Music.
The producer's debut solo album will feature a number of guest appearances from heavy hitters like Marsha Ambrosius, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G., Big K.R.I.T., David Banner, Erykah Badu, Murs, Mac Miller, Big Remo, Rhapsody, and former Little Brother group member, Phonte.
"If there was ever a better time to express how I feel about Hip-Hop music, black music, or just music in general, it would be to do it now, on this project," 9th Wonder told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (June 30th).
In addition to the artists that will be featured on The Wonder Years, 9th Wonder has made a name for himself by working with chart topping artists like Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Ludacris, De La Soul, Mary J. Blige, Wale, Lloyd Banks and others.
"My career has been from the depths of the underground, to the pop charts, but it has always stayed my sound, and what I believed in to be pure," 9th said. "Welcome to the Wonder Years.”
9th Wonder's solo album The Wonder Years is due in stores on September 27th.
