The Red Hot Chili Peppers have opted to scrap a video that was supposed to be directed by upstart Kreayshawn, a Bay-area rap artist that's recently risen to prominence.
Kreayshawn, who has directed a number of rap videos, was tapped to direct the video for the iconic rock group, but the collaboration never fully materialized.
“We had one sort of failed attempt at making a video for this song, which was indoors and just kind of dark and dank and not really fun or anything, so we thought, ‘Let’s go with the opposite of that,' and the opposite of that was a rooftop," said lead singer Anthony Kiedis to MTV News.
Kreayshawn had previously explained to MTV how she would depicted the group.
“It’s got that organic feel, but it still gives the band a great shine and they look fu**ing awesome. They are looking off the chain, man. Anthony’s in there looking like a swimsuit model," said Kreayshawn, a digital film school drop out.
