A rapper/singer associated with Yonkers, New York Hip-Hop group D–Block was stabbed to death after a performance on Sunday (September 11th).
Singer/songwriter Mike Smith was killed after a performance in his hometown of South Carolina.
Mike Smith was killed around 3:00 AM on Sunday in Richland County, after being involved in a dispute with a man named Anthony McWilson.
McWilson stabbed Mike Smith multiple times in the chest, resulting in his death.
McWilson has been charged with murder.
Mike Smith had been prominently featured on Sheek Louch's Silverback Gorilla album, on the track "Keep Pushin'."
He was also featured on D-Block's track "Hustler's Prayer" off the No Security album, and “I'm So Hood," which also features Sheek Louch and Avant.
Mike Smith, 25, was also affiliated with Block Entertainment, where he was working with Atlanta rapper Gorilla Zoe.
"Rest in peace lil homie, soulful brother with a voice only god can give someone, we all know your singing it up in Heaven," Gorilla Zoe tweeted.
