Philadelphia-based Hip-Hop band The Roots have announced they are expanding their annual Jam Session starting tonight (September 17th) in Los Angeles.
The group has announced their 1st Annual Pre-Emmy Jam, to celebrate the Emmy awards, which take place tomorrow (September 18th).
A number of celebrities are expected to attend the Jam Session, which was originally born during the Grammy awards.
Since 2003, The Roots have hosted The Roots Jam Session during the Grammy awards.
This year, the group decided to expand it to the Emmy's due to their success as the house band on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
Additionally, Jimmy Fallon is up for his first ever Emmy Awards, with nominations for best variety, music or comedy series and best writing.
The 1st annual Pre-Emmy Jam featuring The Roots will take place at the House of Blues in West Hollywood tonight.
