A conference designed to educate youth about the music industry will feature the legendary rapper Black Thought of The Roots as the cornerstone of the event, which takes place this weekend.
The 3rd Regional Academic and Cultural Collaborative (RACC 2011) will be held October 14th and 15th and features the Philadelphia rapper as well as Chuck Creekmur, CEO of AllHipHop.com, and HBO Def Poet Shihan.
“The event will provide educational and artistic opportunities for urban performing artists and their audiences,” said Sierra Leone of Oral Funk Poetry Productions and event co-organizer, sierra is also President of Tripple Croxx Entertainment and founder of RACC. “RACC will allow greater Dayton to experience urban culture from an inclusive perspective that will expose participants to the internal and external workings of the entertainment/music industry.
