Weezy has already laid down some tracks for one of the two sequels.
Lil Wayne recently returned to the top of the charts with his platinum-certified Tha Carter IV, with plans to keep his hot streak alive. Speaking with MTV News, Young Money Records President Mack Maine revealed that Weezy is working on the follow-up to I Am Not a Human Being and will soon begin recording the sequel to Rebirth.
“He's, like, 12 songs in, and he went crazy. He went left. He's in Martian land right now," he said of I Am Not a Human Being 2.
Distinguishing Rebirth from Tha Carter series, Maine explained that each project allows Wayne to showcase his different talents. "He gets to show his rock side, he gets to show his gangsta side and talk to the women on one side," he said. "On I Am Not a Human Being, he is definitely showing some weirdo, left-brain, I'm-not-from-here type side. He can say what he wants. There are no boundaries, there are no limits."
