Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's "The Message" is set to be inducted into the the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012.

Back in 2007, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five was honored as the first Hip Hop group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now, the legendary South Bronx pioneers are set to receive another commendation courtesy of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences's Grammy Hall of Fame.

According to MTV's Rap Fix, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's 1982 hit "The Message" was selected by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2012. The song had been previously chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry in 2002.

Other audio clips that will join "The Message" in the Grammy Hall of Fame include portions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and Bill Cosby's comedy album I Started Out As A Child.
