Bizarre is looking to emerge from the shadow of his group D12 with his solo mixtape Life as a Backup Dancer for Hammer, which is due out in late January. In the meantime, he’s dropped an obsessive love song and video dedicated to Nicki Minaj called “Hey Nicki” as a first taste of the mixtape. “I’m a big fan of her music,” Bizarre tells RapFix. “I think she’s very sexy and I just want to be her sex slave.”
A link to the video was retweeted from Nicki Minaj’s Twitter account last week and the Detroit rapper says he’s heard that Nicki actually likes the song. The two haven’t yet met, but he has faith: “Hopefully, I’ll run into her one day and keep stalking her and stalking her until I find her.”
Bizarre says that the next D12 album, which was expected to drop in 2011, will finally come out next year. His management could not confirm a release date for the still-untitled offering. The timing will be determined by Eminem’s Shady Records label, which is also expected to release a full-length album from Slaughterhouse in 2012.
Life as a Backup Dancer for Hammer will also showcase artists Faygo, Coney, Fury and Sonny Bonoho, all from Bizarre’s own label the Weirdo Movement. He’ll be working on full-length releases for Weirdo next year. And there’s one additional development that we think has great promise for Bizarre. Watch out, Hollywood: the rapper says he’s taken up acting classes.
