Pras releases a statement regarding Lauryn Hill's recent guilty plea.
Earlier today, Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty to tax evasion. She now faces a three-year prison term and a fine of up to $75,000 upon sentencing in November. Shortly after she was released on $150,000 bail, Global Grind reached out to her former Fugees cohort Pras who commented on the recent turn of events for Ms. Hill.
"I'm bugging! I can't believe it! I'm sitting here on a plane to L.A. listening to Phil Collins and Philip Bailey 'Easy Lover' on my iPod. But I don't believe she'll go to jail, but damn bail is 150K?! Zimmerman was about the same. Go figure! ... This is crazy!!" he said.
Pras and Lauryn recently reconnected on stage at the 2011 Rock the Bells festival, where they performed "Ready or Not" and "Killing Me Softly."
