  • Lloyd Banks Talks Solo Album

G-Unit member Lloyd Banks is hoping to make an album that can rival that of crew member 50 Cent when he drops his solo effort, Hunger For More.

With production from the likes of Eminem, Banks said the album was the same quality of music as 50 Cent's Get Rich Or Die Trying and G-Unit's Beg For Mercy.

"A lot of the things 50 was talking about, I've witnessed on my own since we grew up in the same neighborhood," Banks told AllHipHop.com. "With this album you are getting my point of view."

Banks said that he wrote his album while on the road, so it would reflect a broader view than the previous releases from his G-Unit brethren.

"I feel like I have an advantage because I've gotten the chance to see Japan and everywhere else," Banks said. "All those different things go into my material. When Biggie did Ready To Die, he wrote that while he was in his neighborhood. Then Life After Death he did it when he had the success and money, so…my album is like two albums in one."

Hunger For More is scheduled for a May 25 release date.

Young Buck is also working on a solo album, Straight Outta Cashville, due in June. "Cashville" is slang for his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

That album features David Banner, Lil Flip and T.I.
