A parole review board gave Suge Knight 10 months in jail after they determined that he struck a nightclub valet in Hollywood. The rap mogul faced a total of one year in prison.
Knight was apprehended on June 27 after the alleged incident and had been credited with time served towards his bid.
The decision to jail the 37-year-old Knight came amid accounts from the alleged victim that it wasn’t the mogul that hit him.
"I never said I was hit by him. I don't know how police got that idea," Lazrak told the Associated Press.
Knight’s sentence was handed down even after Rose Kogemen, his lawyer, claimed to possess a video tape that shows another man hitting the valet.
Conflicting reports from the valet company owner reportedly suggested that some accounts were not forthcoming.
Earlier this year, Knight served two months in jail for associating with a known gang member – a violation of probation.
At press time, no statement was available from reps for Knight.
