  • 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Support The Homeless

50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and super producer, Swizz Beats teamed up with celebrity sports agent Glenn Toby and NY Jets #91 Josh Evans, to open the "2004 Book Bank Foundation Holiday Superstore for the Homeless," over the Christmas holiday.

New York's Bowery Mission housed the superstore which provided over 300 New York City homeless children with 100,000 worth of brand new clothing, toys and over the counter medicine for free.

Recipients received free celebrity chiropractic services from the Pico Chiropractic Center (Madonna, Wayne Brady, etc) while shopping through designers including Tommy Hilfiger, The Omavi Clothing Company, G-Unit Clothing, Triple 5 Soul and many others.

Vendors from the toy and pharmaceutical industries donated products so that Bowery Mission recipients could "shop" at no cost.

Glenn Toby, who represents over 30 NFL players including two-time Superbowl star Asante Samuels of the New England Patriots, felt a special connection to the mission participants.

"There are currently over 35,812 children, families and adults surviving in the New York City shelter system," says the Total Entertainment Athlete Management CEO. "As one who personally experienced freezing holiday nights at one time as a homeless child, I understand how one toy, coat or simple remedy for a dry, stubborn cough that's given with respect can impact the spirit of a child and family - especially during the holiday season."

50, and Banks who attended the event with no bodyguards or entourage, stayed at the event to sign autographs and personally hand out gifts to the children.

This is the second year Josh Evans and the Book Bank Foundation have successfully provided the coat drive for New York City's Homeless.
