G-unit's Young Buck pleaded not guilty in court on Friday (January 14) to an assault with a deadly weapon charge in connection with the stabbing incident that went down at November's Vibe Awards.
According to MTV News, the rapper, born David Darnell Brown, was silent during the hearing except for him acknowledging that he understood he was waiving his right to a preliminary hearing within 10 days. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on February 18.
Buck is alleged to have stabbed 26-year-old Los Angeles native Jimmy James Johnson in the aftermath of a fight at the show. Johnson was also brought in on assault charges for allegedly punching Dr. Dre in the face after he refused to sign an autograph (see "VIBE Awards Marred By Violence").
Johnson pleaded not guilty on Monday (January 10) to attacking Dre and is due back in court January 26, when a date for a preliminary hearing on assault charges will be set.
Buck faces up to eight years in prison if convicted and remains free on $500,000 bail (see "Young Buck Surrenders, Expected To Post 500k Bail").
