Word is veteran talk show host Jay Leno was quite impressed with Luda's performance in Crash. So impressed, that he tracked down Luda's home number to personally give him props. "There's only like five people in the world that have my house number. Jay Leno called me up and was just telling me about my performance in the movie Crash. I couldn't believe it," Luda revealed. "I mean, it's not too many people that I look up to, but anybody with more than 80 cars --if you're calling my house, I'm sitting there tripping! But at the same time I was like, 'Man, how the hell did you get my house number?'"
Once dismissed as just another rap-actor, Cris has received several movie offers since Crash's theatrical release this past May. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, the Mouth of The South said he's real "strategic" when picking roles. Interestingly, in the new film Hustle & Flow, Luda plays Skinny Black; a Memphis rapper who makes it big and returns to his old stomping grounds. Hustle & Flow opens nationwide today.
