A lawsuit against Snoop Dogg has been dropped by a make-up artist who claimed she was drugged and raped by the rapper and members of his entourage at a 2003 taping of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Last Wednesday, Kylie Bell's lawyer filed a request to dismiss the suit with prejudice, meaning that the suit cannot be refiled. No criminal charges were filed. According to Snoop's publicist, Meredith O'Sullivan, the rapper's lawyer also demanded that a suit he filed against Bell be dismissed. In a recent statement, Bell, 36 year-old make-up artist who won a 2002 Emmy Award for working on HBO's Six Feet Under, offered that "the matter has been resolved amicably."
According to Bell's suit, she had applied Snoop's makeup for four episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Snoop served as Jimmy Kimmel's special co-host during the four shows. She claimed she was drugged with spiked champagne after the Doggfather's last appearance.
Meanwhile, Snoop's suit accused Bell of trying to extort him of $5 million in exchange for keeping silent. He sought punitive damages and to prevent her from making further threats.
