Breaking News: The Game Locked Out of Magic Convention, Suge Retaliation Feared
SOHH.com has learned exclusively that, just moments ago, The Game was barred from entering into the Magic Convention Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center for fear of retaliation for the Suge Knight shooting on Sunday.
The Game was on hand at Magic this week to promote the launch of his sneaker, The Hurricane, by luxury footwear and apparel company, 310 Motoring. MAGIC (the men's show) is the largest and most comprehensive marketplace for the men's apparel and accessories industry.
Upon attempting to enter the venue, The Game and his entourage were ID'd by security and turned away from the doors. Sources on the scene tell SOHH that show promoters, Magic International, issued the order to stop the Game from entering the venue for fear that he may be the target of retaliation in connection with the Suge Knight shooting at the Kanye West VMA pre-party this Sunday. The Game had already been confirmed and approved to attend the show prior to the Suge Knight shooting.
Each February and August the fashion industry converges on Las Vegas for one of the most influential weeks in fashion - the MAGIC Marketplace. Magic has become a hub for urban fashion brands, featuring booths for top urban designers including Sean John and Rocawear. Under the agreement with Game, 310 would design, market and promote the Game's shoe. 310 will launch the shoe first quarter 2006.
