Lil' Kim can't catch a break these days. First, the one-year bid, then her hair was reportedly cut and now her checks are bouncing. According to the Daily News, 18 people who worked on recent Lil' Kim videos were left with bounced checks following an accounting mix-up.
Word is the bounced checks were found days after the Queen Bee started serving her one year and a day sentence for perjury and conspiracy. "This is pretty offensive, because this whole business we're in is based on trust," a production assistant told the Daily News. "The word is going to get around very quickly." The uncompensated workers were part of a crew that shot three consecutive videos for Kim prior to her surrendering to prison. Kim's rep, Ronn Torossian, insists that the petite rapper has nothing to do with the payment mistake. "It's a big surprise and disappointment to us," Torossian told the Daily News. "This (May 3rd Films) is an independent company Kim contracted to do her videos, and she knows nothing about this."
