  • Ludacris Show A No-Go For Fear of Violence

A Ludacris-headlined show in Tennessee is cancelled after losing its venue over concerns of a violent outbreak.

Noting security concerns, Johnson City, Tennessee's city manager Pete Peterson has denied East Tennessee State University the use of Freedom Hall for the school's homecoming concert featuring Ludacris.

Peterson stated that security has had a difficult time controlling crowds and that violence occurred during previous shows. He added that community doesn't need problems on a middle school campus. Following Freedom Hall's rejection, student organizers began looking for other venues, but were also denied by Bristol, Tennesse's Viking Hall.

According to Dr. Sally Lee, EastTennesseeState's vice president for student affairs, organizers have ceased to look for new location. ETSU President Paul Stanton asserted that the school didn't sign a contract with either Ludacris or Freedom Hall. He added that there had only been talks with Luda's management.
