Jay and 50 work together on upcoming Freeway Project. Earlier this week, 50 hosted an episode of "Rap City" in an effort to promote his new movie, Get Rich Or Die Trying.
In a segment that appeared to be planned, DJ Whoo Kid asked 50 his opinion on Jay-Z and Nas squashing their feud. "I think that was ill, that was different. It's one thing if you say things about people cause Hip-Hop is competitive, and all artists wanna compete. You say something about them, then they get over it and it's gone. But damn, if you go as far as sleeping with my baby mother. I don't know if I can squash that. But I think in the future Nas may end up doing a deal with Jay-Z," Fif said with a sarcastic smile. When Whoo Kid confirmed there were rumors of Nas signing with Def Jam, 50 mockingly remarked, "Which means he works for Jay-Z."
Earlier in the episode, 50 and Prodigy of Mobb Deep revealed that they had tattoos of one another. Fiddy showed a Mobb Deep tat scripted on the back of his right wrist while P showed off a G-Unit tat on his right hand. Fiddy also said that he predicts Mobb's next album, Blood Money, will match Get Rich Or Die Trying's success before saying, "I'll bet anything I got on that record."
In related news, in an interview with Funkmaster Flex last night on NYC's Hot 97 radio station 50 squashed rumors concerning his "cold war" with Jay-Z. He told listeners that in fact him and Jay are actually working together on the new Freeway record. He did not specify his involvement with the project.
