  • Young Jeezy, Ex-Girlfriend Reach Temporary Child Support Settlement

After being ordered by a Houston County judge to reveal his income, rapper Young Jeezy and his former girlfriend, in which they have a child together, have reached a temporary agreement in their ongoing child support case.

Jeezy, real name Jay W. Jenkins, and Tynesha Dykes have been in a dispute over how much more the rapper should pay now that's he's a big rap star.

On Monday (November 28), Houston County Superior Court Judge George Nunn issued a temporary order granting Dykes $1,400 a month in child support based on the information that has be disclosed so far, according to the The Macon Telegraph.

That's more than 10 times the amount Jeezy was paying in 2001, where he paid $178 a month, based on his reported income of $89.30 a month.

The rapper currently receives a monthly income of $15,000, has $270,000 in the bank and owns about $50,000 in jewelry, according to testimony about his financial status.

Although Jeezy seems to be living a lavish lifestyle, the rapper stated that all his items including his house, his car and clothes he wears are all provided by his label.

"I may not be in the green for another two years. I'm still in the red right now," Jenkins testified.

According to the rapper, his royalties have yet to kick in and that he is currently recouping the money advanced to him from his label.

Jeezy argued that he doesn't want to get locked into high child support payment that he may not be able to afford if his music career didn't continue on the path its at right now.

Young Jeezy released two albums this year, one as a member of Bad Boy's Boyz N Da Hood and the other as a solo artist, where he enjoyed platinum success.

According to the The Macon Telegraph, the pair reached a temporary agreement on visitation and inheritance, but did not agree on Jeezy's income.

Nunn stated that the case could go before a jury if needed, but urged both parties to reach an agreement in favor of the child.

All that money, and not enough common sense to use a condom. What a shame.
