  • The Ave Teams Up Ms. Wallace and Juelz For Second Anniversary Issue

Hip-Hop magazine The Ave celebrates its 2-year anniversary with it's Winter '06 issue. The new ish honors Jay-Z and Damon Dash, and also features up-close and personal discussions with cover subjects Juelz Santana and Volleta Wallace, mother of the late, great Notorious B.I.G.

Dropping this month, the "22 Two's" issue of The Ave features Ms. Wallace talking about her son's legacy, the struggles of raising him in the streets of Brooklyn as a single parent, her book about him and her startling experience with breast cancer.

The magazine's other cover features Juelz Santana, who opens up about issues other than music. The magazine also profiles Oprah Winfrey, Floetry, a serious analysis on pedophilia and its millions of affected children, old school rappers capitalizing off commercialism, and a commentary on BET's programming.

In honor of the magazine's second anniversary, The Ave also highlights "22 of modern history's greatest dynamic duos," including Jay and Dame, film prodigies Spike Lee and Denzel Washington, and revolutionaries Fidel Castro and Che Guevara.
