Hov appeared on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 show earlier this week. First, the emcee briefly spoke of the Powerhouse concert in which he and Nas made peace in front of thousands of fans. Hov revealed that Nas' manager reached out to his camp to make the reunion possible. Jay then insisted that the meeting that preceded the concert was "routed in respect" and couldn't be sensationalized. He didn't confirm that the two legendary emcees had songs in the works, but hinted that it was possible.
Meanwhile, Jigga also spoke on Foxy Brown's hearing loss. "I can only imagine you have hearing your whole life and then suddenly, you have a problem with your hearing and you have to have an operation," Hov told Angie. "I can imagine how traumatic that is for a person. Her pain, I know she's going through it right now." He added that he advised Fox not to hold a press conference on her hearing, but lay low and take care of her health instead.
During the interview, Jay also bought 7 minutes of commercial time. He plugged his Def Jam artists, Biggie Duets, Rocawear and his S. Carter sneaker line during the spot.
