  • Diddy Has Another Lawsuit Tossed

A Manhattan Supreme Court recently tossed a lawsuit alleging that Sean "Diddy" Combs attacked his Bad Boy Entertainment's former president.

In the suit, Kirk Burrowes, who has previously spent three years as Bad Boy's president, charged that Diddy, armed with a baseball bat, demanded that he give up his stake in the company.

"The whole thing was a complete fabrication," Benjamin Brafman, Diddy's attorney told the New York Post. "We are gratified with the Appellate Division's unanimous decision. This is a perfect example of how vulnerable celebrities are to the filing of lawsuits that don't have any merit."

The appeals court judges felt that the allegations, which were first brought in 1996, were too dated for the case to proceed. Reports say it's not the first time Burrowes' claims don't stick.

The lawsuit is just one of many involving the Bad Boy honcho. In September, model Tyson Beckford sued Diddy for break of contract and trademark infringement. A month prior, an Illinois man says that Sean Combs stole his "It's A Lifestyle" slogan for Combs' Sean John clothing line.

Burrowes has had his own share of legal issues. In May 2005, the former executive pled guilty to obstruction of justice. At press time, there is no word as to whether or not Burrowes is currently incarcerated.
