  • MySpace Helps E-40 on "Ghetto Report Card"

Bay Area platinum selling rapper E-40 is gearing up to release his twelfth album My Ghetto Report Card and Myspace.com has joined in to help promotional efforts.

In anticipation of the new album, Myspace.com is making E-40 the first hip-hop artist to have his video prominently featured on the music & video pages. The website will also debut an exclusive video interview, host an exclusive album listening party , and sponsor a fly-away contest where contestants can enter to win tickets to come to New York to meet with E-40 and Lil' Jon for the album listening party.

"We're thrilled to get involved with E-40's project. He's a celebrated pioneer in the hip-hop community that has taken the unique 'do it yourself' approach to handling his career that MySpace encourages," said MySpace Urban Marketing & Events Coordinator Roslynn Cobarrubias via statement. "Official MySpace DJs across the country are excited to take the hyphy movement national."

MySpace.com has over 50 million registered users of which 800,000 are artist/band profiles, like E-40's. Video and music for his first single "Tell Me When To Go" can be found on the Myspace music and video pages as well.

Due March 14, My Ghetto Report Card is executive produced by Lil' Jon, who also contributes production along with Kanye West, Rick Rock, and E-40's son, Droop-e of The Pharmasutides. Lil' Scrappy, Mike Jones, Juelz Santana, Keak Da Sneak, Turf Talk, and B-Legit also make guest appearances.
