Rumors of beef between Rocafella and G-Unit will be put to rest next month when key members of both parties will perform together at the"'Keep Hope Alive" Concert.
At press time, Memphis Bleek, Lloyd Banks, the Young Gunz, Tony Yayo, Freeway and Teairra Marie are listed as some of the artists scheduled to appear at the event.
Last year 50 Cent and G-Unit were one of the rumored targets of Jay-Z's "I Declare War Concert". After Jay instead squashed his long rivalry with Nas, many speculated that their partnership served as a subtle jab at 50, who has beef with Nas and is in a business competition with Jay.
This year, Jay -Z and 50 will be appearing on and executive producing Freeway's sophomore album Free At Last which will be released via Def Jam.
Late last year, word had begun circulating that Freeway was signing to G-Unit but in a recent live chat on the Rocafella web site, Jay-Z set the record straight.
"Freeway is on Rocafella" stated Jay "Him and 50 spoke and talked about doing some work together but he is on Rocafella."
Free At Last is slated release in the spring, and will feature appearances from Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Beanie Sigel, Nate Dogg and Black Thought, just to name a few. Scott Storch, Needlez, Just Blaze and Chad West are some of the producers, who have contributed to the project.
"Keep Hope Alive" is scheduled for March 3rd at the DCUCenter in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Tickets for the event are available online at StubHub.com, and Ticketmaster.com.
