Nas and Rakim are planning to collaborate together for the second time, according to MTV.com -- the first being on a 2003 version of Alicia Keys' song "Streets of New York, which was never officially released, but circulated the mixtape circuit for quite so time. With the two currently working on solo projects, the two said before MTV cameras that collaboration would be in the works. I'mma ask a question," Rakim said to Nas and everyone in the room. "We gotta do a joint together, man. We gotta do a joint." "We got to," Nas answered with a smile.
There has been no official when the two will get into the studio, but Nas stated that it was a done deal.
