An arrest warrant was issued yesterday (April 20) for D12 member Swift after he failed to make a court appearance following the funeral of his slain groupmate Proof on the same day.
Swift (born Ondre Moore) was due in court for a hearing which would determine whether he violated terms of his probation stemming from a drunken driving case.
According to reports, the hearing was originally set to take place early Wednesday morning but Judge Brian Mackenzie, who issued the warrant, adjourned it to the afternoon so that Swift could attend Proof's funeral.
Swift, the other members of D12 and Eminem were honorary pallbearers at Proof's funeral.
Swift's hearing was scheduled for 1:30 pm cst and Judge Mackenzie said he gave the rapper until a few minutes past 4 p.m. to show before issuing the warrant and setting bail at $500,000.
"While I recognize the importance of attending a funeral ... there is a requirement that you make some effort to comply with a court order." said Judge Mackenzie.
Swift had been ordered to stay away from drugs and alcohol after pleading guilty last October to an operating a vehicle while visibly impaired charge. Since then, he has tested positive twice for drugs and alcohol and has spent several days in jail.
He could face 93 days in jail if Mackenzie's decides he violated probation.
