  • Snoop Free On Bail in London, Banned from British Airways

Snoop Dogg was released on bail yesterday (April 27) after being arrested at London's Heathrow Airport.

Snoop (born Calvin Broadus) and five other men from his entourage were involved in a melee with police after they were told they would not be allowed to board their flight
    .

According to NY's Daily News the incident occurred after Snoop, who had a first-class ticket, entered The Airways' first-class lounge and members of his entourage, who had coach tickets, were denyed access to the lounge. This resulted in them hurling bottles and abusing British Airways staff.

When police arrived they tried to direct the group to baggage reclaim. Snoop's entourage became "abusive and pushed officers," according to Scotland Yard. Seven police officers received minor injuries during the fracas, including cuts and bruises, and one suffered from a broken hand.

Snoop and the five men were then arrested on charges of violent disorder and affray, and were taken into custody in two west London police stations.

According to Peter Binning, Snoop's lawyer, the Long Beach-bred rapper was not charged with any offense but is expected to return to London on a later date. He also refused to reveal the amount of money posted for Snoop's bail.

The rapper and his entourage were at HeathrowAirport waiting for a flight to Johannesburg in South Africa where he was scheduled to headline a series of huge music events called the People's Celebration.

Snoop was set to perform in Johannesburg today (April 28) but the concert will be rescheduled. He is still expected to keep his South African tour dates for Cape Town on Saturday (April 29) and in Durban on Monday (May 1).

According to a British Airways spokesman, letters were sent to the rapper and his associates notifying them that they are banned from all future travel on the airline.
