  • Daz Dillinger Links with Jermaine Dupri, Drops So So Gangsta

Daz Dilinger, one-half of The Dogg Pound, is currently putting finishing touches on So So Gangsta, his highly anticipated So So Def debut album.

Set for release this summer, the albim will feature appearances from Snoop Dogg, Soopafly, Nate Dogg, Redman, The Clipse, Young Buck, Jagged Edge, Johnta Austin, Bonecrusher, JD and Da Brat.

"So So Gangsta brings a whole new sound to the West" explained Daz via a statement. "The album is not only going to be for the gangsters out there, it is also for people who want to hear the truth about the streets, not the watered down version that is heard in a lot of hip-hop today."

Producers on So So Gangsta include Jermaine Dupri, Scott Storch, No ID and Daz. The first single off the album will be "On Some Real Shit" featuring Rick Ross.

"The world is going to really have to stand up and pay attention to Daz now" stated Snoop Dogg. " So So Gangsta will only further the West's initiative to become more and more relevant in today's competitive Hip Hop environment."

As SOHH previously reported, Daz and his Dogg Pound group mate Kurupt reunited after ten years and are currently touring with Ice Cube to promote their upcoming sophomore album Cali Iz Active.

In related news, the group recently shot a video for their first single "Cali Iz Active" at Los Angeles' Elysian Park and will feature cameos from West Coast All-Stars, Ice Cube, Dilated Peoples , Xzibit, DJ Quik, Warren G, Too Short, Tyrese, and MC Eiht, among others.

Cali Iz Active will be in stores on June 27 while So So Gangsta will hit shelves on August 1.
