A New Orleans man has recently been charged with negligent homicide after carelessly pulling a gun on a friend while listening to The Diplomats' "40 Cal."
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Ronnie Webber of Kenner, LA, near New Orleans, told cops that he playfully pulled the gun on his friend, Jonathan Beasley, and did not check to see if it was loaded.
Webber and the victim had ironically been bumping .40 Cal's self-titled song"40 Cal," off of The Diplomat's Diplomatic Immunity 2, while he accidentally shot his friend with a .40-caliber semi-automatic, said Kenner Police Department Capt. James Kenner.
Webber called 911 after the shooting and attempted CPR on Beasley. He died shortly after arriving to the hospital. The two young men had reportedly been friends since childhood. Annie Beasley, the victim's mother, failed to see the necessity for kids like her son and Webber to get guns.
"They don't need to own guns because they don't even know what to do with them," Annie told the Times-Picayune. "They're too young. Too many of them are killing each other.
