  • Jay-Z Flips Champagne Laced Lyrics

Word is Jay-Z will change the lyrics on all his Crystal-promoting songs during the 10th anniversary celebration of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt on June 25.

Songs like "Can't Knock the Hustle," "Dead Presidents," "Brooklyn's Finest" and "Feelin' It" reportedly all feature references to the pricey champagne. Hov recently boycotted Cris at his 40/40 club after the drink's managing director Federic Rouzard said the rap community's support was "unwelcome attention." According to Jigga, his club's patrons have been quite supportive of the boycott.

"The response from our customers at 40/40 has been incredible," Jay-Z said in a statement. "This weekend, we sold more bottles of Krug and Perrier Jouet than [ever] and we expect that trend to continue. They are great products and we are glad they have embraced us with open arms."

"You can bet that Cristal will not be in Jay's lyrics on Sunday," Ron Berkowitz, Hov's spokesman, added. "What will replace it, only he knows at the time, because he rhymes on the fly - so don't be surprised to hear something different."

Jay-Z's sold out 10th Anniversary celebration concert will be held at NYC' s Radio City Music Hall on June 25th.

So what does Cristal have to do to stop the boycott? Or is it too late?
