Rapper Nas will be featured in an upcoming remixed Miles Davis project to help celebrate the jazz legend's 80th birthday.
Nas collaborated with guitar god Santana for a track on the album, titled Evolution of the Groove. In addition to the CD, a new DVD, book, movie, Davis will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. "One of the things that has been most surprising to me is just how iconic the name Miles Davis is," Darryl Porter, the General Manager of Miles Davis Properties told the Associated Press. "Part of our goal is to get a whole new generation of Miles fans." Davis, who passed away 15 years ago, still sells thousands of the legendary trumpetist's album King of Blue each week, a testament to his enduring legacy.
