  • Ja Rule Headed To Court Over "Nickels"

Ja Rule has reportedly been sued by a Korean concert promotion company for failing to show up at a gig in South Korea in March.

According to The New York Post, Ja (born Jeffery Atkins) claims to have not appeared for the performance because he was not paid in full by Xtremedia. But Atkins lawyer, Carmen Giordano, would reveal that a member of the rapper's entourage, Fred "Nickels" Moore, was paid by Xtremedia but failed to forward the money to Atkins.

Despite Atkins attempts to reach out to Xtremedia to arrange for another concert date, the company has chosen to settle the matter in court and is suing Atkins for nearly $500,000.

"The attorneys for the Korean company have been rather arrogant and rather greedy," Giordano told the Post.

Atkins filed a lawsuit against Moore in Manhattan Supreme Court last week and is seeking $125,000 in damages.
