The family of Twista's bodyguard who was killed in a 2004 tour bus accident has filed a lawsuit against the Chicago bred rapper.
Arthur James Dixon, the son of legendary blues singer Willie Dixon, was killed when Twista's tour bus which was driving from a show in Syracuse, N.Y. to Chicago, veered off the road on Erie, PA's Interstate 90 and crashed into a median.
The accident also injured Twista and four other passengers.
According to CBS2 Chicago, the Dixons' lawsuit, which was filed in Cook County Circuit Court Tuesday (September 6), claims the negligence of Twista, his management and the driver of the bus lead to the death of Arthur Dixon.
The suit also claims the bus driver, Otis Bankhead, did not have a valid driver's license, failed to stay awake and alert while driving, and also failed to drive at a safe and appropriate speed.
This is the second lawsuit filed in connection to the crash. Last week, Renaldo Jones, one of the passengers in the bus, sued Twista and his management team.
Jones, who claims to have broken his collarbone, is seeking unspecified damages from Twista, Bankhead, Showtime Entertainment Agency and its representatives, Rawle Stewart and Tyshawn Carr.
Twista or his management have not commented on both suits.
